Variety Show for Harbor House

The 28th Annual Spice of Life Variety Show for Harbor House!

This year’s show will be packed full of talent

with performances by local entertainers. 

Dance numbers will be performed by the

Kankakee Kompany 1 & 2 from Paula Aubrey

Studio, In His Steps and Soul to Sole from

Dance In The Light, and local line dancing

group Boots ‘N Motion .

 

Vocalists for this year include favorites Anita Reno

and Dave Leppert.  Also performing are Cindy

Jackson, Amy Meyer and Julie Bisaillon of

Vintage Vocals, Barbi Brewer, Marvin Minerich,

Jeff Hall and Stacie Kneffelkamp. This year will mark the farewell performance from

                                       Robert Snipes after twenty shows.  2010 newcomers Kylah

K                                     MetzlerT and Briana Bury will both be returning to the stage.                                         Joining the cast will be Julia Vasquez, the winner of the 2011

                                       Teen Idol competition from the Bourbonnais Friendship

                                       Festival.  New vocalist Niko Pagsisihan will also perform.   

 

                                       Comedy skits from The Spice of Life Players will include the

                                       talents of Sheila Pfaff, Janeen Tietjens, Jeff Hall and Jay

                                       Brewer.  Popular local juggling duo Rave and Dave will also

                                       return for this year’s show.

 

                                       Of course, musical numbers will be highlighted by the live

stage band featuring the talents of local veterans Dave Leppert on guitar and Adam Patrick Moore on piano.  Also on guitar will be Aaron Brewer with Amy Shinabarger on drums and Jon Shinabarger playing bass.  The horn section includes the talents of veterans Brian Irwin, Adam Elroy and Tracey Marcotte on saxophones. Returning on trumpet will be Ricardo Thompson and Jackie Traust.  Stepping in on trombone will be Joshua Ronek and Austin Gero.

 

The show is under the direction of Bonnie Brewer, assisted by Barbi Brewer.  Sound is provided by Jason Haden with lighting and technical direction by Miles Q. Turner.
